Campanile di San Giorgio dei Greci, or the 'leaning clocktower', was designed by Simone Sorella and completed in 1592. It apparently started tilting from the beginning of its construction. Called the Bridge of Sighs by locals, this emblematic monument of Venice was built in the 1600s and connects the Doge's Palace with the historic prison on the other side of the canal.
