After visiting the Titanic Cemetery, your next stop is Citadel Hill, officially known as Fort George. This historic star-shaped fortress has stood guard over Halifax since 1749 and has played a key role in the city’s military past. After spending around 30 minutes at the Citadel, your final stop is the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk, one of the longest urban boardwalks in the world and a favorite spot for both visitors and locals. Stretching nearly 4 kilometers along the harbor, it’s lined with quaint shops, cafes, local artisans, museums, and food stalls. You can see historic ships in the harbor, watch sailboats glide by, and maybe even spot a seal in the water. The boardwalk is the perfect place to end your tour — lively, scenic, and full of energy. You’ll be dropped off here if you’d like to continue exploring on your own, or we can return you to your original pickup point, whether it’s the cruise terminal or your hotel. This final stretch of the tour gives you a taste of Halifax’s modern charm, paired perfectly with the history you’ve discovered earlier in the day.
