Your guide will lead you through the Hall of “Prisoners.” This hall showcases a unique form of Michelangelo's art, "non-finito," or unfinished. The sculptures showcase the life of characters inside the block, as their emotions form while trapped inside the Carrara marble. As a viewer, you can examine the exact dents and small details where Michelangelo was working with his chisel and hammer. Admire Michelangelo’s artistic process, and how he incredibly worked from a simple piece of marble. If you are interested in learning more, your private guide will go into vivid detail about each of these sculptures and their stories.

At the end of the hall, you will find the unmissable "David," towering over the tiny viewers. Weighing over 12,000 pounds and at 17 feet tall, this is one of the largest, and most important pieces of art of all time. Your guide will spend plenty of time at this epic sculpture, diving into the masterpiece as well as Michelangelo and his mysterious life. Did you know Michelangelo was a mere 26 years old when he finished his sculpture of David? Any questions you have, your guide will be happy to answer.
