The lagoon has an oval shape with a major axis of 4 km and a width that varies between 400 m and 700 m. It is located at 3200 m. Its outfall carries its waters through the Juncal River. Aconcagua Provincial Park is a protected area in the Argentine Andes, on the border with Chile. There is Mount Aconcagua, whose summit is covered in snow and is one of the highest in South America. At the entrance of the park you can take a path to the Los Horcones lagoon and the Quebrada del Durazno. Thanks to its altitude, it is home to enormous Andean condors. Nearby is the Puente del Inca, which is a natural bridge made of orange stones that crosses the Las Cuevas River. We will do a Light or Medium Difficulty Trekking (at the passenger's choice) to appreciate Mount Aconcagua, which is the highest peak on the American continent at 6,962 meters high.
