Founded in the 15th century, this college only admitted men until 1979. T. E. Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia, once studied here. Sir Christopher Wren was a fellow and designed the iconic sundial which sits atop the entrance to the library. Today, the college primarily focuses on research.

The Bodleian Library is one of the oldest libraries in Europe at over 400 years old. Founded by Sir Thomas Bodley, the library's world-leading collection includes a copy of the Magna Carta, a Gutenberg Bible and a first edition of Don Quixote. As you look up at the Bodleian, you may hear passing scholars refer to it as 'the Bodley' or simply 'the Bod'.

This neoclassical building housed the Oxford University Press until the early 19th century. Today, the Clarendon Building is part of the Bodleian Library and is used for administrative purposes. The building is topped with nine statues, some of which have fallen down over the centuries and were replaced with fibreglass copies. See if you can spot the statue of Lord Clarendon.

Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the Sheldonian Theatre is an iconic example of English Baroque architecture. Look up at the fabulous ceiling fresco, painted by Robert Streater, which imitates an Roman theatre open to the sky.

This iconic skyway, also known as the Hertford Bridge, links the old and new Quadrangles of Hertford College. It's named after the Bridge of Sighs in Venice, and while it's not open to the public, you'll often see students of the college crossing through. Make sure to take a snap of this striking landmark and one of Oxford's most popular sights.
